| Description / विवरण | Richly embellished slender carved image of Vishnu with details of Dashavtara. The four handed deity wears heavy ornamentation - kirita mukutha crown necklaces, armlets, ear-rings, katibandha waist band , ornamental yajnopavita scared thread and anklets; the lower portion of the image is covered with the characteristic costume of vaishnative images with elaborate liner drapery falling from waist-line till the feet on either side. There hands below the elbow are broken and attributes are lost. Vishnu is flanked by two adoring female figures and the prabhavali around his head represents his Dashavtara Matsya, kurma, Varaha, Vamana, Narasinvha, Ra- ma, Parshurama, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki etc. |
