Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | This bust of a God is badly mutilated. From below the chest the entire lower part including the arms is mutilated. The god wears a tall kiritamukuta with a face of a glory emblem occupying its lower middle part from where chairs are seen. He wears a heavy pair of kundalas in his elongated ears. He has ratnabara, ratna-upavita and keyura as his ornaments. The mukuta and partially visible vanamalla on the shoulder may be taken as cognizance of God Vishnu. The arched eye brows, elongated eyes with heavy upper lids, the pointed nose all go to prove that this was a creation of late Gupta period. |
