Description / विवरण | This multi handed image of Vishnu is in very bad state of preservation.Narsimha, that is the god in man lion hybrid shape comes out from a broken pillar. Vishnu left leg is diagonally stretched and the right one is placed on the broken pillar. The body of Hiranya kasyapa, the father of prahlada is found to be placed on Vishnu s four hands and two right ones are partially visible, which hold the usual attribute of Vishnu viz a gada and a cakra near the twisted right leg on eroded and damaged figure is noticed. He may be prahlada the devout follower of Vishnu. Vishnu killed his father who was bent upon not only to insult Vishnu but also to kill his son prahlada. |
