| Description / विवरण | Hanuman seated in yoga with crossed legs and the feet resting on the pedestal. His head is devoid of any kirita or crown. The ears are long and contain bell shaped kundalas. He has four hands. The two front hands are bent inwards with the palms touching each other in anjali mudra. Behind the head is the hair falling on the shoulders on either side. On the right and left chakra and sankha. He wears a kantha mala, a flowing hara which runs up to the navel, a yagnopavita, keyuras, kankanas and manjiras. There is a broad yoga patta tied to the knees which passes around on the hind side. Also can be seen on the top a curved tail which reaches above the head and curled upwards, towards right. All around is a prabhavali decorated with foliage pattern. There is also the mark of tiru nama on the fore head in three vertical lines. The face is zoomorphic with a broad mouth, snubbed nose and thick cheeks. |
