| Description / विवरण | The image of Seshashayi Vishnu is depicted in a reclining pose resting on the bed of Sheshanaga. Vishnu has four arms His upper right hand is supporting his head while he is holding a lotus stalk in his lower right hand. Vishnu holds the chakra with lower left hand while a gada is placed horizontally. On the lotus stalk springing up from the navel Brahma is shown on lotus peetha. Figure of Lakshmi is depicted seated near the legs of Vishnu. Vishnu is ornamented with kirita-mukuta, kundala, hara, graiveyaka, katimekhala, kativastra keyura, valaya and the nupura. He is shadowed by the snake-hood. Under the bed of adishesha seven pitchers kalasa and some other indistinct objects are placed. The upper part of the stele is well carved depicting the figures of Sapta rishis. |
