| Description / विवरण | The first Jain Tirthankara Rishabhanatha seated in padmasana mudra on a Pitha.His body appears to be motionless with half closed eyes which show a beautiful meditative expression.The right hand is placed over the left hand with the palm upward on his lap.His curly hair has an usnisa over his head. Srivatsa symbol is visible on the chest.The image pedestal has a three line inscription dated to samvat 1202-1145 AD on the Pitha, it mentions the name of donor as Moolsangh. Sculpture is identified as Rishabhanatha on the basis of hair locks on its shoulder. |
