| Description / विवरण | In this relief the hero, shown forcefully moving forward is attacking the soldier seated on a horse.Two slain soldiers are shown lying on the ground. The hero attired, wearing a roundish head gear and lowergarment with frills suspended between the legs, carries sword and shield in the raised right and left hand respectively. The surface is eroded however the extant evidence indicate he is decorated with kundalas,vakshahara and kankana. The figure of soldier seated on a caprisoned pouncing horse is obliterated. He is shown holding the rein in the left hand whereas right hand probably carries a sword.Hind legs of horse is kept firmly on the ground and the tail part is missing. The movement of horse and the soldiers have been brought out well and typical of the late-chalukyan style. |
