| Description / विवरण | Linga is identified with siva.Linga is said to contain three parts viz.,Brahma bhaga at the bottom,vishnu bhaga in the middle part and the top portion is called Rudra bhaga.It is the latter part which is available for worship. This siva linga having the pujamsa or Rudra bhaga fixed at the centre of yonipitha, appears to have been installed in a shrine for worship. Theshaft is partially damaged.The circular yonipitha has the usual depression and extended channel.Both components are made of the same stone as laid down in the agamas.On stylistic grounds linga may be ascribed to late-chalukyan period. |
