| Description / विवरण | In this relief a couple is shown standing.Due to weathering the details on the surface of relief is eroded, however, faint outlines of features are discernible. The male figure is shown resting his left hand on the shoulders of his female counterpart whereas in the right hand he holds a staff with curved top.He wears a crown and appears to be decked with ornaments and is shown in under garments.Similarly the female figure is embracing him in her right hand whereas the left hand appears to be folded and drawn near the chest. Faint outline of hairdo,karnakundala,vakshahara and under garments are discernible.The low relief of galloping horse shown behind the figures at the bottom is noteworthy.On stylistic grounds this relief may be ascribed to late-chalukyan period. |
