| Description / विवरण | In this relief a male figure at the centre is flanked by female figure each on either side is depicted.The male figure's matted hair is tied with a band and arranged on sides in fan like fashion. A parasol above the head is noteworthy.He has protruded broad eyes and pointed chin.He stands erect and both folded hands rests on the chest.He wears ornaments such as kankana and nupura.He is attired in lower garment held by a katibandha.Frills of uttariya suspends down between the legs. Face of female figure to his left is missing and the other face is partially damaged. Both are shown folding their hands in anjali mudra and decorated with ornaments viz.,kankana and nupura.They wear lower garment and the frills of uttariya suspends down from the waist. On stylistic grounds this relief may be ascribed to post-vijayanagara period. |
