| Description / विवरण | Nagas enjoy the semi-divine status and invoked for specific benefits.They are extensively worshipped in the country especially by women who are desirous of progeny.In this relief two serpents viz., naga-nagini are shown entwined in the act of copulation.Both serpents are shown with single hood and stand on their tails. Both serpents have thick and round body and the head protrudes. May be ascribed to vijayanagara period. |
