Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | Venugopala standing in tribhanga attitude with right foot bent inwards and resting on the toe, while the left foot is firmly stamped on the ground. He holds a flute in both the hands which runs across the chest horizontally. Venugopala bears a kirita makuta in three receding tiers. At the foot on either side are chour bearers. He is collored with a tight kantamala around the neck and a short adhoruka around the loins. There is a prabhavali around, decorated with sankha and chakra motifs on the top. The top portion of the prabhavali is decorated with foliage pattern. This seems to belong to the Kakatiya workmanship and hence applicable to 13th C.A.D. |
