| Description / विवरण | This is part of a relief depicting Gajalakshmi.The extant part shows an elephant and a part of Lakshmi seated in padmasana.Her left shoulder and hand is obliterated partly.She wears a kiritamakuta and bedecked with ornaments such as karnakundalas,vakshahara,keyura etc., Antariya is held by katibandha.Elephant to her right is almost lifting its front two legs and the trunk partly damaged raised in the posture of anointing her. A garland of bells adorns the neck. The extant relief is weathered. On stylistic grounds this relief may be ascribed to Rashtrakuta period. |
