| Description / विवरण | This is fragmentary head of an image of male diety.Remains of austere halo behind the head is noteworthy.The diety wears a five tiered karandamakuta with projected crests on three sides which form part of the decorated band at the bottom of the crown.Both ears are damaged.Bow like eye brows above half closed eyes,sharp nose and lips exhits superb workmanship employed by the artist.The roundish face characterizes sublime calm expression.Traces of kanthahara worn on the neck is noticeable.On stylistic ground this fragment may be ascribed to late-chalukyan period. |
