| Description / विवरण | This sculpture in round is of a standing elephant.The front legs are in a forward moving posture.The proportionate head, short tusks and long trunk including the slopy back with shorthind legs are well delineated and exhibits the mastery achieved by the early-chalukyan sculptors in handling the depiction of animals.Such sculptures usually adorned the entrance of religious or secular structures. |
