| Description / विवरण | This high relief is carved boldly depicting a seated figure of Bhairavi. The lower part of the image is missing.She has ten hands. Two right arms and lower left arm are obliterated. I n the remaining three right arms she holds trisula,ganta and khadga in that order.Similarly in the four left hands she holds khatvanga,damaru, khetaka and siras human head respectively. She wears a karanada makuta and she is bedecked with ornanaments viz., karnakundalas, a long hara, sarpa keyura and kankanas. Autere halo behind the head is noteworthy. Extant lower garment is held by a katibandha. Both bosoms and part of chin are damaged. The protruding eyes and fangs emanating from the edge of the mouth delineates a ferocious look on the ovalish face. Stylistically the extant image may be ascribed to the Rashtrakuta period. |
