| Description / विवरण | This panel depicts a pair of flying vidyadharas with their head slightly tilted to left and right respectively are shown back to back flying in opposite direction.Both are shown with matted hair arranged in three circular steps and wear antariya held by a round katibhanda.Both figures are adorned with ornaments such as karnakundala,vakshahara, and keyura.The figure to the left keeps his left hand near the chest whereas the right hand is raised and the part above wrist is missing. Figure to the right keeps his right hand akimbo and the left hand and part of chest is missing.The legs folded upwards and the fluttering of lower garments suggests they are air borne. The round face,sharp lips,serene eyes,straight nose, grace and suppleness depicted are typical characteristics of art work of early chalukyan period. |
