| Description / विवरण | A fragment depicting the relief of a soldier riding a well caprisoned horse.He is shown holding the rein in the left hand and in the raised right hand he carries a sword.He appears wearing a tunic with a band at the trunk. A small dagger is fixed to his waist band.He wears a turban on the head and his face is obliterated.Ornaments worn include kundala and vakshahara.The horse is pouncing, evident from both front folded legs whereas hind legs are kept firmly on the ground.The horse depicted is proportionate in size and the swing of tail is brought out nicely.The entire composition bespeak highly the workmanship of medieaval sculptors. |
