Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | It is the lower portion of a human body from the waist to the knees. The body is covered with a thin layer of decorative drapery, an upavita or sacred thread, an ornamental waistband with dangling frills and beads, and a kayabandhi around the waist. While the left arm of the sculpture is broken, the right one is covered with bangles from wrist to elbow. The dorsal side of the palm is adorned with a hath pan. Though the lower leg of the sculpture has not survived, the embellishment and dynamism of the sculpture suggests its momentum in padavastika stance. |
