Description / विवरण | This unidentified broken sculpture represents the standing posture of a male figure, beautified with some essential facial representations including a prominent nose, lips, moustache, opened eroded eyes, an eroded tilak mark on its forehead, a long beard reaching its chest and elongated earlobes. It is adorned with an ornamented mukuta (headgear), a decorative and elongated karna puspa with floral patterns (the karna puspa of the right ear is broken and eroded), a necklace covered under its beard, a garland (lower part is broken) and a kankana (wrist ornament) in both its wrist. The figure is wearing a long vanamala reaching its knees ornamented with decorative floral patterns, a decorative antariya (lower garment) and a kayabandhi. The right arm of the figure is in upright position holding an unidentified object while its left arm is resting downwards holding a weapon. The fingers of the left hand are very prominent while the right hand is broken along with its feet. |
