Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | The fragmented block is a part of a decorative horizontal panel belonging to a freize of flying Vidyadharas (Flying Nymphs). The block has one left palm belonging to a flying nymph. The carvings on the hand remains intact. The hand holds a half bloom lotus. The sturdy stem of the flower is seen to be covering the length of the palms. It is held securely in between the thumb, middle finger and the ring finger. Though the motif is heavily deteriorated, the intricate folds and creases of the palms are very prominent. The wrist is adorned with beaded bangles (kankana). |
