Description / विवरण | It is a broken sculpture of a male figurine carved out of a coarse-grained granite. From abdomen area to the lower half of the sculpture is found to be completely missing. There is a clamp impression on the top edge of the stele which indicates that the sculpture was hanged on a surface for adoration. The figurine is facing to the left and holding an unknown ayudha with the left hand. The right arm is entirely missing. A tilak is carved on the forehead.The facial features of the figurine has ethnic similarities of the region for instance the broad nose and square-shaped face. It is adorned with a jewelled spiked headgear,circular studded kundalas, an undecorated bracelet (Kangana) on the left wrist and kanthabhushana covering the chest part.The hair of the image is seen to be waving from behind. |
