Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | It is a figurine of a female carved on a coarse-grained granite boulder in a low relief. There are clamp impressions on either corner of the top surface. The carvings of the image lack sophistication. The figurine is standing on a Samabhanga posture. The facial features such as dramatic eyebrows, eyes, broad nose, defined jawline are found to be prominent. There is a Tilak on her forehead and her face is slightly turned to her right. Her hair is shown to be waving in the air. Her left hand is closer to the chest holding an unknown elongated ayudha. Her right hand is raised high holding a pot with conical lid. She is adorned with circular kundalas that have beaded designs carved in it, a set of Kanthabhushana covering her entire torso, Kankana on either lower arm. Her crown is a heavily ornamented spiked headgear. The Antariya and a decorated girdle around her waist is visible. The feet are missing as the elevated platform is found to be broken. |
