| Description / विवरण | It is a fragmented human bust of which only a tiny portion of the upper chest, the neck and the face have survived. The neck of the sculpture is heavily ornamented with four different pieces of necklaces (kanthabhusana), two of which are beaded jewellery whereas the other two have floral patterns in them. A four petalled flower pendant is attached to one of the necklaces. The platysma bands of the neck are very intricately carved in form of horizontal etched lines. With a set of closed eyes, a S -shaped unibrow, an elongated rectangular tilaka and a gentle smile in the lips, the face reflects a sense of calmness. An ornamented headgear is curved in the head. |
