Description / विवरण | |
Description / विवरण | It is a fragmented high-relief sculpture of a dwarpala with a decorated canopy over his head. The sculpture is broken below the waist. The dwarpala is characterized with elongated earlobes, circular earrings (Kundala), S -shaped eyebrows, a handlebar moustache, a necklace (kanthabhusana) and a circular tilaka on the forehead. He seems to be holding a stick or a pole with both his hands. His chin is rested on his right hand that holds the top portion of the stick. The sculpture is heavily weathered, which is why the attributes are virtually unidentifiable. |
