| Description / विवरण | Probably Goddess Durga Seated in padmasana on a Padma platform. Kirit mukut head is damaged. Kundala in the ears, necklace, and a mala crossing the bust, Katibandh, transparent lower garment and anklets are other ornaments. Face is slightly mutilated. Prominent breast. All the hands are broken only traces of upper right hands are visible. All the right hands are damaged. In one of the upper left hand a shield is seen which is damaged. One more left hand is visible which is shown holding some un-identified object. Rest hands are totally chopped off. In the center of the pedestal a demon is shown lying giving support with his left hand to his head. Sunken eyes, fangs, mouth half open, bearded face with mustache. Two deities on the pedestal, one on either side. Four female attendants two standing and two sitting each holding a sword and a shield by the hand on the side. Makara mukha and Gandharvas are depicted vertically on both sides Parikara An Nagari Inscription Shri Pandawi of 11th-12th century is engraved. |
