| Description / विवरण | Probably Goddess Ganga seated in ardhaparyanka pose on a lotus pedestal, which is supported by her vahana, the Makara. She is shown with four arms, but all four arms are broken. She has Kirita mukuta on the head, earrings, necklace, garland, armlet, katibandha, anklet and the vaijantimala. The breasts of goddess are shown prominently. There are six attendants, three on either side, all female. They are all in vertical successive orders. The lowest two one on either side are in Anjali mudra. The face of the attendant is chopped off above these attendants, there are two elephants one on each side, the head of both are broken and above these, there are two Vyala, one on each side. On the top by the side of the Parikara six flying Gandharva with garlands, three on each side are shown. On the pedestal, there is an inscription depicting श्री सविती in Nagari script of 10th-11th century C.E. |
