| Description / विवरण | Fixed on the back gate of the temple the relief depicts Śiva seated in lalitāsana. The four armed god holds a vīnā in his front hands and a serpent in his back right, his back left hand embracing Pārvāti, rests on her left shoulder. Two armed Parvati holds a mirror in her left hand, while her right hand, passing from behinds Siva s back is kept on the right shoulder of the god in the act of embracing. Below the divine couple are shown diminutive figures of seated Ganeśa in the left, crouchant Nandi looking at the divine couple in the middle, and Kārttikeya in the right. The divine couple wears matted hair, stylish ear rings, neck ornaments, armlets, wristlets and lower garments secured with girdles. |
