Description / विवरण | A broken drum panel of stupa. It portrays the birth of Siddharata Gautama at Lumbini garden. On the left side of the panel is Maya Devi holding a branch of tree with her left hand and the right hand kept on the waist . She was being attended by lady servants. On the right side are four Brahmas holding the baby in a cloth with their hands. Below it are worshippers in kneeled down postures. Above are the celestial beings coming down to earth to garland the lord. Between Maya devi and the four Brahmas is the depiction of a royal parasol to signify the royal status to the newly born Siddharatha. |
