| Description / विवरण | Standing image of Surya holding lotus buds with both the hands raised upwards. The head is adorned with karndamakuta in receding tiers. Around the neck is a tight kanthamala with a pendent on the front. Below is a long flowing beaded garland in two strands. The lower part of the body is draped with half garment ardhoruka which is tightly fitted up to the level of knees. There is a beaded katisutra in three strands with a long tassel in the middle. Below on either side at the waist level is wide cloth with three folds issuing out from the loin. The hands are decorated with wristlets and the feet with anklets. The hole figure is encircled by a prabhavali with makara torana on the top. The whole image looks disproportionate. |
