| Description / विवरण | Exquisitely carved Surya standing in Samabhanga posture on a padmapitha holding long stalks of two full-blown lotuses in his two hands. Behind him at his ankles are the seven horses and the chariot driver, Pingala on the pedestal. Surya has round face with pointed chin, fleshy cheeks, long snubbed nose mutilated open eyes and thick eye brows. A rayed halo is seen prominently. He has a high headgear, makarakundalas, yajnopavita, haras, kankanas, ardhoruka, keyuras, armlets and anklets. |
