Description / विवरण | Dwarapala standing with his right leg firmly placed on the ground and the left leg bent and kept on a trunk of a tree from which a snake is emerging out to swallow an animal. A lizard is seen creeping up the bark. He holds some unidentifiable object in his fore right hand. His rear left hand holds something broken . He has a high headgear, with braids of hair forming into twirls, thick eye brows, third eye, protruded eyes, side tusks, dissimilar kundalas, Kanthaharas,yajnopavita in the shape of a rope and ardhoruka with hanging tassels. A cat standing is seen at the back of his right leg. He is shown with oval face, long nose and slightly thick lips. The hands, the left leg below the knee upto the ankel portion are broken and missing. |
