| Description / विवरण | The much eroded sculpture of Ganesa shows him seated with his right knee lifted and the left bent before him on the asana. His association with the asana is because of his pot belly. In Bharmour an eight century Ganesa sits in European fashion. The present Ganesa seems to be wearing a tiara or ardhamukuta. He is four handed but the attributes held in his hands are much mutilated. In the right hand he holds his own broken tusk and aises it to touch the other which is still intact. The other right back hand is completely damaged. The left fore-hand holds a modakapatra while the left had might be carrying an axe or a goad. His trunk is turned to the left showing movement and is about to lift modaka from the modakabhanda. |
