| Description / विवरण | The Goddess in a graceful relaxed sleeping posture with head raised and resting on the left hand, the elbow placed on the cushion. The Goddess reclines cross legged, is decked with pearled jewellery, heavy circular earrings and the hairs are brushed back as one sees in Mathura yaksis.The bady Buddha is not shown probably in keeping with the earlier tradition. The image beautifully exposes the contours of the reclining body as it is not set before the black slab. |
