| Description / विवरण | Only the lower portion of the image is preserved. We thus see the Sun god standing on a lotus, his legs covered by a tunic and wearing boots with beaded straps, the tongues decorated with a rosette. In front of him is a standing goddess, to be identified with Usas or Mahasveta. Flanking the god are images of his consorts Rajni and Niksubha, wearing dhotis and boots. Below, on the left is Pingala, holding pen and paper, and wearing boots and kulah cap and on the right is a similar badly damaged figure of Dandi. The outer left edge of the stele has, from bottom to top, a figure seated on a cushion, an Asvinikumara and another badly damaged male figure. All that is preserved on the right edge are a seated figure, and a standing male Divinity, probably an Asvinikumara, both badly damaged. On the pedestal is a large lotus plant with two blossoming flowers. |
