| Description / विवरण | Boar incarnation of Visnu in zoomorphic form. Three legs together with a part of the back mutilated. The tail is beautifully braided and has complicated knots. The entire massive body is carved with circular clusters of miniature divinities seated either in padmasana or maharajalilasana. The ribbon round the neck is also adorned with miniature deities. Most of the figures are defaced and their features obliterated. Yet groups of Visnu and Ganesa are identifiable, the latter on the right flank of the back. On the snout is seen a figure of Sarasvati with vina while Bhudevi appears close to the boar s tusk with her mutilated hand clutching the left side of the snout. |
