| Description / विवरण | Tara is the tantric deity of Budhist pantheon. She is seated in padmasana upon a double petalled lotus pedestal. She is wearing necklaces, armlets, earrings anklets. The image is fully decorated. Both the hands are broken from elbow. She is adorned with kirita mukuta.Two Buddha are seated on her both sides in bhumisparsa mudra. Upper left side Buddha is seated in dharmachakra prabartana and Right side Buddha is in bhumisparsa mudra. Buddha on the top is in Dhyana mudra. Two male attendants hold garlands. Two flying Vidyadharas are flanked by both sides of the image. But they are Broken and not clearly visible. Lower part of the lotus pedestal is decorated with scroll work with horse, female figure, lotus bud and with some female devotees. |
