| Description / विवरण | A fragment of a damaged plaque representing a bejewelled lady adorned with chhannavira heavy bangles and large earrings. The lady is depicted touching her earrings with her hand. This device is frequently encountered in the early traditional art of Bharhut and the early sites of Deccan and western India.The plaque in high relief portrays the round cheeks, hands and large eyes with a distant contemplative gaze. The portrayal is rather realistic. |
