| Description / विवरण | |
| Description / विवरण | This is a terracotta head of a man with round bulging eyes, parted lips and sporting large ear rings. The figure has a conical turban on the head. The present terracotta head may be compared to similar heads recovered from Pandu Rajar Dhibi in Bardhaman district in West Bengal, Jhusi and Ghosi in North India, where figures with conical caps or turbans have been found. This stylistic type is generally believed to have been popular in the late-Kushan and early -Gupta periods Marghbandhu, 1987 . |
