| Description / विवरण | The wheeled figures represents a winged elephant adorned with garlands and sporting lotus stalks. Similar wheeled figures depicting winged elephants have been recovered from Noongola and Khana Mihirer Dhibi from layers belonging to 2nd and 1st century B.C. Indian Archaeology - A Review 1961-62 PI.CIB . The present specimen has been dated on the basis of the latter but it portrays more detailed workmanship. |
