| Description / विवरण | This is the front portion of a female figure playint a drum. It is envisaged in the round with the help of double mooulds. The figure is adorned with heavy bangles and two thick necklace. The mastery of the artist is evident from the lines and movemnt of the body and the vibrant nature of the sculpture. This types of terracotta art are not rare phenomenon and examples may be seen in the collection from Raighat, preserved at the Bharat Kala Bhavan, Varanasi Poster, 1986,p.150 . |
