| Description / विवरण | This plaque depicts a male figure with grotesque feature in a squatting posture. He is seen smilling with teeth visible. The female figure to the right has a horse face. She is lying on her back with legs spread apart with her right hand holding her right leg and left hand resting on the head of the male figure. While the iconographic scheme of the plaque remains problematic, the horseheaded females are known from coins device from North-West India and the railing at Sanchi. |
