| Description / विवरण | The lady with her coiffure framing her face and a turban on her head. She is ornamented with circular earrings and bangles and folds of her upper garments are visible on her torso. It is interesting to observe that there are stalks of grain attached to her hairdo, thereby indicating her relatiion to cults associated with prosperity and vegitation. This female figurine probably prefigures the idea of the Sakamabhari, the goddess of plenty. |
