| Description / विवरण | This pillar is devided in to four segments.The uppermost circular portion truncated at the top has a circular moulding in the middle and the inverted bell shaped base portion has a plain offset. Below this,the square section is decorated with purnakumbha motif with heavy foliage overflowing from the pot, on all four faces. A circular object shown over the mouth of one of the kumbha is noteworthy. The section below is circular on plan and has seven mouldings of which three each at the top and bottom are circular in shape whereas the central flat band is decorated with interconnected diamond buttons arranged horizontally.The square sectioned lowermost segment is plain and the edge is damaged.On stylistic grounds this pillar may be ascribed to late-chalukyan period. |
