| Description / विवरण | This is a long barrelled gun, having a elongated stock of teak wood. The stock has developed cracks at the butt side, it has a flat base and a offset at the top near the breech end. A flat iron trigger is provided between a slot at the base connected to the cock at the side of breech end. Right side stock face contains urdu inscription of 18th C. A.D. character written using black ink and covered with a golssy protective layer. The rusted barrel measuring 1.48cm in length is strapped to the stock channel with four thin iron bands fastened with twisted nails. Stock with a latch has brownish surface due to a layer of patina. Flaring mouth of barrel measures 11cm in circumference.The barrel contains a single line urdu inscription of 18th C. A.D. character mentioning the name of Nizam of Hyderabad state 1762-1803 A.D . |
