| Description / विवरण | In the sculptural depictions hands of gods and goddesses are shown in different postures such as abhaya,varada,tarjani chinmudra etc., In this relief, a hand probably of a diety is depicted in abhaya posture indicating protection.Usually this posture is shown in the right hand of benevolent form of dieties.Of the five fingers thumb and index fingers are damaged. Other fingers are decorated with angulikaya. A bead designed bangle is at the wrist. May be assigned to late-chalukyan period. |
