| Description / विवरण | A long vertical pillar looks like a linga in the shape, depicted with chaturbhuja Vishnu standing in samapada sthanaka posture above the square base. Vishnu holds sankha and chakra in both his raised upper left and right hands respectively. A mace in his lower left hand and placed his lower right hand in abhaya-mudra. He wears a high kiritamakuta and the other features are not clear. Half moon sun and full moon Chandra symbols are depicted on either side on the top portion above the head of the image. The entire panel is carved in a niche bordered by thick band on either side of the inscription on the lateral side of the pillar. Inscription on the lateral sides of the panel is in Telugu - Kannada characters of c. 11th - 12th Century A.D. |
